Afridi’s message for Pakistan ahead of SriLanka ODI Series
The biggest challenge for Shaheen Shah Afridi is how he maintains his winning streak and how he improves his performance.
Newly selected ODI caption Shaheen Shah Afridi sent a message to his teammates before the start of the series against Sri Lanka.
This is Shaheen Shah Afridi’s second series in the ODI format. Earlier, Pakistan defeated South Africa 2-1 in the series in Faisalabad under the leadership of Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Afridi said that
“winning the series against South Africa in Faisalabad has increased our confidence. This was my first series as an ODI captain and I am very happy that we played as a unit. In the Sri Lanka series, I will try to continue the winning streak. Sri Lanka is a side that will challenge us and they can also challenge us at times.”
Afridi said that it is necessary for every player in the Pakistan cricket team to perform, it is not necessary that only senior players perform.
The Sri Lankan cricket team recently achieved a clean sweep against Zimbabwe in the ODI format.
