The Jamaica Kingsmen have unveiled their 7-man overseas squad for the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL), a blend of seasoned Pakistan internationals, promising youngsters and cricket specialists.

The overseas squad will feature Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Hassan Khan, Hunain Shah, Shayan Jahangir and Tayyab Arif and the franchise will be bringing in players gradually throughout the tournament.

Kingsmen Confirm Seven Overseas Players

The Jamaica Kingsmen have made a point of developing their overseas squad with a mix of batting strength, all-rounders, wicket-keepers and depth in the bowlers. The squad includes some foreign players and local cricketers aiming to make their debut in the CPL.

The franchise has also carefully planned the squad to ensure that it has overseas depth throughout the competition.

Hassan Khan and Hunain Shah will be on call for the entirety of the CPL campaign and are likely to be at the start of the tournament with the Kingsmen. Hassan offers a complete package and Hunain is an additional weapon in the team’s arsenal.

The Kingsmen will also have two more batters on hand from the first round of the competition, with Shayan Jahangir and Tayyab Arif also joining the fray.

Saim Ayub Set to Join From August 19

There will be a major overseas shakeup from August 19 as Saim Ayub, Maaz Sadaqat and Usman Khan are set to join the Jamaica Kingsmen.

The three will be filling the overseas places and will give the franchise some new strength in the second half of the series.

As the competition enters its crucial stage, the Pakistan internationals could bring much firepower to the side of the Kingsmen.

Maaz Sadaqat Adds All-Round Ability

Pakistan’s Maaz Sadaqat brings another lefty to the Jamaican side of the bat.

The young all-rounder is known for his aggressive batting style at the top of the order and is also a left arm orthodox spin bowler. He has also made significant contributions to Pakistan’s white-ball cricket, making him one of the promising talents of the country.

The flexibility he offers the Kingsmen in both disciplines will give the team more options when building their playing XI.

Saim Ayub Brings Explosive Batting

Saim Ayub is likely to be one of the main attractions of the Jamaican contingent in the overseas camp when he joins the team.

The Pakistan international is known as an aggressive left-hander who can make the most of the powerplay. He is a dangerous option in T20 cricket as he has a wide variety of strokes and can accelerate quickly.

Ayub can also add his off-break bowling to the mix, which means it gives the Kingsmen another chance in the middle of the game.

Usman Khan Strengthens the Batting

On August 19, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Usman Khan will also join the batting line-up of the Kingsmen to give them more power.

Usman is a fast and aggressive batsman who has proven to be a threat in T20 cricket across franchise cricket.

He could prove to be a valuable asset to the middle order of the Kingsmen in the second half of the CPL season with his ability to turn the tide of the innings in a few overs.

Hassan Khan Provides Balance

Hassan Khan will be on the court for the entire tournament and is a great addition to the Kingsmen in both batting and bowling.

The all-rounder is right-handed and is a slow orthodox left arm bowler who bats in the lower middle order.

His availability for the whole campaign means that Jamaica have a dependable choice that can play a variety of roles as required by match conditions.

Hunain Shah Adds Bowling Depth

Another player who is likely to stay with the Kingsmen for the entire tournament is fast bowler Hunain Shah.

The right arm medium-fast bowler has also established a reputation for being a cool player under pressure and is capable of bowling with the new ball as well as in the death overs.

His arrival brings another pace option to the Jamaican side that can play in various stages of a T20 match.

Shayan Jahangir Offers Wicketkeeping Experience

USA international Shayan Jahangir will join the Kingsmen’s first phase team.

The right-hander is a wicket keeper-batter with international and franchise experience, offering a reliable support behind the stumps.

He’ll be a very useful player with both bat and gloves at the start of the tournament.

Tayyab Arif Gets CPL Opportunity

Pakistan batsman Tayyab Arif will also be a part of the Kingsmen for the first round of the tournament.

The right-hander has made his way through the domestic and Under-19 cricket circuit for Pakistan and will now get a chance to make his name on the international stage.

His addition will provide the Jamaicans with another bat for the field ahead of the second batch of overseas players.

Kingsmen Prepare for CPL 2026

The Jamaica Kingsmen have a solid overseas squad in place and will be able to adjust their lineup throughout the tournament.

The experienced hands of Shayan Jahangir and Hassan Khan, emerging talent like Maaz Sadaqat and Hunain Shah, and the experience of established players like Saim Ayub and Usman Khan, means the franchise has plenty of options throughout the campaign.

The Kingsmen will now be looking to bring in their overseas players in stages as they gear up for the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League.
