Italia T10 2026 Schedule

Italia T10 Cricket is ready to bring a brand new flavour of franchise cricket to Europe. The Italia T10 2026 schedule runs from November 18 to 29, 2026, with six city-based franchises set to fight for the first title in Rome. Every match will be played in the Italian capital, and every game will be a 10 overs per side sprint that finishes in around 90 minutes. This complete guide covers the dates, the venue, the format, the confirmed teams, the organisers and the broadcast plans for the first season of the new league.

The arrival of a professional franchise league is a landmark moment for cricket in Italy. Fans can follow every announcement in the Italia T10 section of this site, from franchise signings to squad news and the full fixture list. The first two franchises are already official, and the remaining teams, squads and match dates will be confirmed by the organisers in the coming weeks.

What Is Italia T10?

Italia T10 Cricket is the first city-based franchise T10 league of Italy. The league gives Italian cricket a professional franchise home for the first time, with teams named after famous Italian cities and a short format built for big hitting, bold bowling changes and fast results. Six franchises will take part in the first season, and every match will be hosted in Rome.

The T10 format is the shortest form of franchise cricket. Each team bats for a maximum of 10 overs, so a full match fits into around 90 minutes from the first ball to the final result. The format already has a strong home in the Abu Dhabi T10, and Italia T10 now carries the same high-speed model to Europe with the endorsement of the Italian Cricket Federation, known as the FCI. For new fans, it is the easiest way to start watching cricket: one match, one sitting, and non-stop action.

Italia T10 2026 Dates and Venue

The current Italia T10 2026 schedule window is November 18 to 29, 2026. The league will release the full match-by-match fixture list closer to the tournament, and this guide will be updated as soon as the official fixtures are announced. The first announcement had placed the tournament from October 30 to November 7, 2026, and the latest reports in October 2026 moved the window to November 18 to 29, 2026.

All matches will be played in Rome, the capital of Italy. A single host city keeps the whole tournament in one place across 12 days, which helps the six franchises settle fast and gives local fans a full festival of cricket. Rome also gives the league a famous global stage, with one of the most recognised cities in the world hosting a new chapter of franchise T10 cricket.

Format Explained: How T10 Cricket Works

In T10 cricket, each innings lasts a maximum of 10 overs, which means 60 balls for the batting team to score as many runs as possible. A bowler can deliver a maximum of two overs in a match, so captains must plan bowling changes with great care. There is no time to build a slow innings: batters attack from the first ball, and a short burst of wickets can change a match in minutes.

The format rewards fearless cricket. Power hitters hold the highest value, death bowlers who can defend runs at the end are gold, and fielding sides must stay sharp because one dropped catch can cost a game. The detailed playing format of Italia T10, including any group stage or playoff structure, will be confirmed by the organisers with the fixture list.

Confirmed Teams for Italia T10 2026

Two of the six franchises are already official. The Rome Gladiators were launched and formally signed on 7 October 2026, becoming the first confirmed team of the league. The Venice Livewires have also completed the franchise signing and will represent Venice in the first season. The names of the remaining four franchises have not been announced yet.

No squad has been announced for any franchise so far. Player signings and full squad lists are expected closer to the tournament, once the organisers complete the remaining franchise deals. This guide will carry the squads of all six teams as soon as the official announcements arrive.

Organisers and Federation Backing

Italia T10 is organised by Apex T10 Ltd, a company based in the United Kingdom. The league was co-founded by Nadeem Shahid, who serves as chief executive, and Aamir Akhtar, who serves as chairman. The pair has built the project as a city-based franchise league designed to grow cricket in Italy and to take Italian cricket to a global television audience.

The league carries the endorsement of the Italian Cricket Federation. The federation is coordinating the application for sanctioning from the International Cricket Council, and FCI Extraordinary Commissioner Gianfranco Ravà praised the league at the launch. Official federation backing matters a great deal for a new league, because it connects the tournament to the national structure of the sport in Italy and to the international calendar.

How to Watch Italia T10 2026

The organisers plan live coverage of Italia T10 in more than 30 countries, which shows the ambition behind the first season. The names of the broadcast and streaming partners have not been confirmed yet. The league is expected to announce the television channels and digital platforms for each region closer to the start date in November 2026.

Fans in South Asia form a huge part of the global T10 audience, and the planned worldwide coverage should make the matches easy to follow from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as well. Keep this guide bookmarked: the broadcast details for every region will be added here as soon as the official announcement is made.

What to Expect from the First Season

The first season of Italia T10 is a foundation season, and the storylines are already taking shape. The Rome Gladiators bring a famous franchise name from the Pakistan Super League to Italian soil, while the Venice Livewires have added a former India cricketer to the leadership group. Italian players will get a rare chance to share a dressing room with experienced names from the franchise circuit, and that experience can lift the standard of the national game.

On the field, expect the classic T10 pattern: huge sixes, brave bowling changes and matches that turn in a single over. Off the field, the big test is the remaining announcements. Four franchises, six squads and a full fixture list are still to come, and each announcement will sharpen the picture of the first Italia T10 season in Rome.
